The Gull Lake 210 fleet has been a popular and stable fleet since the boat was first introduced here in 1958.  Our fleet is very helpful and friendly both on and off the race course.  Most members race their boats on Sundays, with four regattas held during the summer, including the Midwest 210 Championship (see GLYC schedule).  Many of us have also competed in the National 210 Championship Regatta held in the Boston, Massachusetts Bay, Newport water, as well as on Gull Lake once every 6 years.  All 210’s can be made to be very competitive, from earlier wood hulls retrofitted with modern hardware, to the latest fiberglass boats, and are available in a range of prices.

The International 210 was designed by well-known Boston naval architect Raymond Hunt in 1946 to be a seaworthy and versatile one-design racer/day sailor for yacht clubs in and around Massachusetts Bay.  The Intl. 210 is an open cockpit, light displacement keel boat of just under 30 ft. in length, with a main, genoa or jib headsail, and spinnaker.  It is a very stable, roomy and comfortable boat perfect for a pleasant day sail.  And it can be rigged to be a very fast racing boat with a powerful sail plan and ability to plane in under 20 kts of breeze. The boat can be raced by two people, although it is most ideally raced by three.
